Man shot on Governor Printz Boulevard near Wilmington
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — A 63-year-old man was shot and killed on Governor Printz Boulevard near Wilmington on Saturday night, according to Delaware State Police.
The News Journal of Wilmington reports the shooting happened after the man parked his car in the median strip of the roadway and entered a nearby liquor store to make a purchase. As he got back in his car, an unknown person approached the car and shot the man multiple times before running away on foot, police said.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Identification of the man is awaiting notification of next of kin.
