CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) _ Inc. (TREE) on Thursday reported a loss of $8 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 63 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 58 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 4 cents per share.

The mortgage lending service provider posted revenue of $261.9 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $261.7 million.

For the current quarter ending in October, said it expects revenue in the range of $235 million to $245 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $985 million to $1.01 billion.
